Botox is a great way to maintain a youthful – yet still natural – appearance, and having a skilled professional conduct your treatments, will better ensure that your Botox treatments last longer.

Simple Steps To Help Increase Botox Effectiveness

1.Two-Week Follow-Up Treatment. Ensuring you had the correct amount of units injected will ensure you are going to have a Botox treatment that lasts. Injectors are safe to sit on the conservative side so you are not paying for product your body isn’t actually utilizing, but a follow-up appointment 2 weeks post-injection, will allow your injector to review your treatment once it has had a chance to fully take effect. Failing to have the proper injection will allow the muscle in that area to still have movement, which means your Botox will wear off sooner.

  1. Pre-Book Your Appointments. Botox should be administered every 4 months on average for first time clients. Maintaining these regular treatments will allow the muscle to decrease in strength, and not allow it to “return to whence it came” between visits, keeping this area benign to creasing for longer durations.
  2. Facial Squeeze Test. Use your facial muscles immediately to help the Botox to begin working, but also recognize if you are still able to move that muscle after 5-7 days have passed – this might indicate you require additional units.

Also, don’t lie down for 4-6 hours after your treatment, and if you are undergoing laser treatments, wait an additional 24-48 hours.

  1. Call Immediately With Concerns. Don’t wait if you have concers. Whether you feel you need additional Botox units injected, or you have questions about the effects you are feeling …most answers can be easily given over the phone, and if you need to make an appointment for additional units – sooner is always better than later.
